Finally

the project is completed after a long journey i have completed North Of Niagara the only thing left to do is present it to my project to Niagara county community college, and then have a meeting with the park to explain how to use it and were to go with it further, i do have future plans with this however they have yet to be discoveredm, in conclusion i will be  meeting with both nccc and the niagara park to finalize the project

Winding around the bend

the challenges are seeming to fade as i near the end of this project. an overwhelimg sensation unvales its self to me.

first of all im decoding all the pictures and formating them to videos, on the youtube channel and converting a qr bar code for simple accesss, also im cleaning up the youtube channel , getting rid of old trial videos and simplifing the accsess points.

next in order is fixing the google map i created with a few problems in it suck as color cordination and inproper points.

also im working on packedging everything so the park can take over the project and make future changes with out relying on me.

im planing a meeting soon to explain my project in its entirety. how to get into acounts change data, and keep everything updated.

as the project continues

the project continues i was breaking through wall of technology. now i have made an account on youtube containing the parks videos for the project. now i have been putting together the parks videos and making bar codes to put in the project , so people can scan the codes, watch the videos and get a summary before they venture into gorge. the hard obstetrical i stand to now is decoding the old walkers guide. and modernizing it and fitting the proper information into the new projects design.

i face another conflict of trying to gather gps cordenets before the weather gets sevire so i can make real time maps linked in with google maps and put in the project in the form of a barcode

also i have come into a convertion problem with a pdf that we are trying to find a way around it now.

Intro to North of Niagara

Hello,
my name is Doug i am the lead designer and concept artist to the project North of Niagara. This started about two weeks ago. i ventured into the Interpretive Services as a intern. only to find primitive technology and out dated designs. Being extremely grateful the park throws me the kitchen sink. They ask of me alot of side projects that look overwhelming.  However i come to a discovery of trying to combined all the projects into one uniform idea so comes the North Of Niagara Walkers Guide.

The first milestone was creating the design template for the project. Hand crafting a personalized cover, including a template with trail bio's Wildlife information, Maps, History and interactive bar codes with video links, Gps google maps. This sounds like alot at first glans however i conquered the basic design of the project.

Next thing is next. i have to start filling in the beef of the book. using the old Walkers guide i disect the usable Information and start filling in the History side of the Parks. Then i start filming, i start with the Devils Hole gathering all the information as a guide for the others. Gathering video, GPS and Photographs. Along with gathering the information.

After gathering the information i needed to put it together putting the info on the page. Then making the video profile for the park in you tube. then formatting all the videos and uploading them into youtube private server directed trough QR bar codes of which i then generated and used in the bio page.

the only thing left is to show the park my first bio page and see if they like it.
